Jesmond Dene Handicap 3! Monday 30th July 2003 saw the third out of four handicap races hosted by Heaton Harriers down and around the lovely scenic setting of Jesmond Dene! Chirs (above) and Andrew ran fro the junior men.  For Chirs stitches led to a slighly below par performance but for Andrew he equaled his previous time of 19.16 but not qwutie as good as his first outing when ihe finished in 19.13 a PB around the course. Andrew commented that the conditions were ideal for the race with some of the heaviest rain of the year! Anyway, the end of July sees the final handicap and the last chance to better those times.  SO stick to morpeth.tk to find out if some of the best athletes in the country manage to better their times - ofcourse they will..............
